Top Google, Intel, TiVo & eHarmony Counsel to Deliver Data Privacy Keynote at Legaltech West Coast

Annual tradeshow relocating from Los Angeles to Hyatt Regency, San Francisco, July 13-14

New York, NY – July 8, 2015 This year’s ALM Legaltech West Coast, the largest legal technology event on the West Coast, will kick off with a keynote panel discussion on data privacy in the digital age featuring prominent counsel and privacy officers from eHarmony, Google, Intel and TiVo. The speakers will delve into hot-button, industry issues such as: how data usage and data management impact security, optimizing product value while safeguarding users’ privacy, and lessons learned from managing a cyber-event or data breach lawsuit.

The event, previously held in LA, will take place in San Francisco at the Hyatt Regency from July 13-14, a move that enables it to be closer to the many innovative technology companies in the Bay Area and the growing number of law firms and corporations in San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

“This year’s Legaltech West Coast program has an increased focus on disruption and innovation in an exciting new location,” said Henry Dicker, vice president of global events at ALM. “We have a stellar line-up of speakers to provide timely, relevant content that resonates with the local market, making this our most exciting West Coast offering yet.”
The event will feature an analysis of the Ellen Pao v. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers verdict, one of the most recent, high-profile decisions to come out of the Superior Court of California. Additionally, Legaltech’s strategic partner CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics will present three legal disruption lightning rounds featuring Shark Tank-style presentations by a hand-selected group of emerging legal tech companies.

Attendees will also have access to an educational track presented by The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) that focuses on cloud and mobile technology for law practice management. Over the course of the two-day event, participants can earn up to 13 CLE Credits, including 2.5 Ethics Credits.
