SAN FRANCISCO – August 30, 2013 – ALM’s The Recorder today announced the results of the 2013  “The Best of The Recorder,” the eighth annual reader’s choice rankings of top legal services, from vendors to law firms and law schools.

Approximately 1,500 readers participated in the survey this year, nearly half of whom are practicing attorneys, to vote in 44 different categories for the best providers of services, products or education to U.S. law firms. For each category, the winners were ranked by pure popularity among peers – the choice with the most votes won.

The results were compiled by the sales and marketing staff of The Recorder. The editorial staff of the newspaper was not involved in the contest.

“Our readers were eager to tell us who they consider to be the best legal services available—and this year many included comments about why they made their choices,” said Molly Miller, publisher of The Recorder.

The companies that were the most frequently named by readers in 2013 were the following:
LexisNexis—8 in top 3 within 7 categories
Thomson Reuters—5 in top 3 within 5 categories
Amicus Attorney—4 in top 3 within 4 categories
