WASHINGTON, D.C. – November 21, 2014 – ALM’s The National Law Journal will host its 2014 Washington Regulatory Summit on Tuesday, December 2nd at the Grand Hyatt, Washington. Speakers will discuss the most pressing areas of regulatory law and policy to brief attendees on best practices and must-know information from 2014. Panels will debate how counsel can creatively comprehend legal confines to advance the company or client’s growth strategy and their desire to stay apace of global trends.

The event will feature several high-profile speakers from Washington’s legal and political leadership, and will be headlined by the Honorable J. Dennis Hastert, Former Speaker, United States House of Representatives and Senior Advisor at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, and the Honorable Tom Daschle, Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader and Founder and CEO of The Daschle Group.

“These two former leaders of Congress bring deep insights gained not only from their decades on Capitol Hill, but also from their current roles in the business and legal communities,” said Beth Frerking, editor of The National Law Journal. “We’re counting on an informative and lively discussion as they share their thoughts about the regulatory climate in Washington in the wake of the midterm elections and ahead of the 2016 presidential race.”

The Summit will provide attendees with valuable opportunities to network with some of the capital’s top legal professionals and deliver insights on the ever-shifting regulatory landscape. Panels will focus on best practices associated with issues such as risk management, cybersecurity, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, internet privacy, the Affordable Care Act and virtual currency.
