Law.com Announces Lean Adviser Legal

Lessons and Tools to Help Lawyers and Firms Deliver Better Service to Clients

New York, NY – May 1, 2018 — Law.com has announced the release of Lean Adviser Legal, a subscription program that delivers lessons and tools to help lawyers and law firms master a client-centric approach to managing the legal project lifecycle.

Learning at their own pace, lawyers will receive daily reminders, engaging lessons, practical checklists and short video vignettes, helping them immerse themselves in the tenets of a lean approach to the daily practice of law.

Alex Geisler, inventor of the Lean Law Program and author of the manuscript that became Lean Adviser Legal is a litigator and co-managing partner of the London office of Duane Morris. “I have used lean methods since I began to represent automakers 25 years ago. I wanted to bring that experience to my colleagues and their clients to help talented lawyers easily deploy processes and tools that can dramatically increase their effectiveness,” Geisler said.

“When Alex first brought us the Lean Law Program as a manuscript for publication, we immediately saw the value as an online experience – a way to take his wisdom and turn it into a deep learning curriculum for our law firm customers to help them provide training for associates and deliver consistently better planning tools and communications to benefit their clients, “ said Molly Miller, Chief Content Officer at ALM.

The Lean Adviser Legal program includes:

  • 100+ Lessons
  • 100+ Think Lean Daily Messages
  • 27 Lean Checklists
  • 15 Lean Live Video vignettes
  • Monthly calls with Lean Adviser Editors
  • Quarterly Training Sessions

The subscription also provides lawyers who successfully complete the Lean Adviser Quiz with a designation badge. Law firms can leverage the designation to demonstrate the number of attorneys who are badged as Lean Adviser lawyers and individuals can post the badge on their social media profiles. Additional lessons, videos, and messages will be rolled out on a regular basis after the first launch. While the initial release addresses the needs of litigators and is especially valuable for associates, future releases will focus on other areas of law as well as provide programs for in-house lawyers to work with their outside counsel.

“Through ALM’s legal publications, we uncovered a common theme of lawyers continually seeking ways to improve their skills to better serve clients,” said Miller. “We are thrilled to work with Alex to bring Lean Adviser Legal to market as the solution to help firms address the new reality of high client expectations and the law firm and client quest for the best lawyering possible.”
