Consulting Magazine to Recognize the Women Leaders in Consulting at November 12 Gala

Deloitte’s Diane Davies posthumously honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

New York, NY – October 19, 2015 – ALM’s Consulting magazine honors the profound difference women continue to make for their clients and their firms at the Women Leaders in Consulting Gala Awards Dinner on November 12 at the St. Regis Hotel, New York. Deloitte’s Diane Davies, who passed away in March 2015, will be posthumously honored with Consulting magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Davies will be recognized for her nearly three decades at Deloitte, serving as a strategy and operations consultant, as well as a mentor and role model to all of her colleagues, but particularly women at Deloitte. She also served as Deloitte Consulting’s Chief Talent Officer and on the Deloitte U.S. and Global Board of Directors.

Jim Moffatt, Chairman and CEO of Deloitte Consulting LLP, says, “Diane brought clarity to the complex, set a vision, built great teams, exceeded results, and delivered every time. But what really set Diane apart was her heart. She wasn’t motivated by roles or titles, but by a desire to make a difference. That’s what allowed her to develop so many future leaders.”

In addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award, Consulting magazine will honor 12 other award recipients, including the Excellence in Leadership winners: Tracy Benard, KPMG; Kerrie MacPherson, EY; Laura Miles, Bain & Company; and, Wendy Woods, The Boston Consulting Group.

The Excellence in Client Services award winners are: Patricia Birch, Cognizant; Carina Markel, PwC; Yasumi Taniguchi, Protiviti; and Carmina Venditti, Capco.

Future Leader award winners are: Theresa (Kain) Merlino, McGladrey; Leslie Parker, A.T. Kearney; Lauren Stark, Slalom Consulting; and Maria Whitman, ZS Associates.

“As the only publication of the consulting profession, Consulting magazine is honored to be able to shine a spotlight on the accomplishment of these women leaders and the firms they represent,” says Joe Kornik, publisher & editor in chief of Consultingmagazine. “Even though women make up just about a quarter of the consulting profession, their collective impact is significantly larger. Now in our ninth year honoring Women Leaders in Consulting, the quality of the nominations, and the accomplishments of the winners continue to grow more impressive. This year was certainly no exception.”

The dinner is open to anyone in the profession, but space is limited. Please visit http://at.alm.com/womenleaders for details.
