Consulting Magazine Announces its 2016 Excellence in Social & Community Investment Award Winners

Eighteen firms to be honored at gala awards dinner on September 8

NEW YORK, Aug. 24, 2016—Consulting magazine is proud to unveil its third annual Excellence in Social & Community Investment Award winners. The Social & Community Investment Award recognizes firms for outstanding client service, either on a pro bono, heavily discounted or volunteer basis in either local communities or globally.

The eighteen winning firms, along with the clients they served, will be recognized at a gala awards dinner to be held at The University Club in New York on Thursday, September 8.

“We often recognize consulting firms that are doing well, and now we want to recognize those firms that are doing good,” says Joseph Kornik, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Consulting Magazine. “Although it’s not widely publicized, the consulting profession does a tremendous amount of pro bono, severely discounted and volunteer work to make the planet a better place. We’re honored to shine a spotlight on these firms’ altruistic efforts each year with this award.”

This year’s award-winning firms are, in alphabetical order: Accenture, A.T. Kearney, The Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte Consulting, Huron Consulting Group, IBB Consulting Group, Jabian Consulting, the Knowledgent Group, KPMG, L.E.K. Consulting, Prophet, Protiviti, PwC, Rightpoint, RSM, Sapient Government Services, Slalom Consulting and West Monroe Partners.

Winning firms advised various clients, including foundations, not-for-profits and community-based organizations, which exist for a higher cause. These clients include: Make-A-Wish, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, The Global Fund to End Slavery, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Charlotte Family Housing, Dallas Independent School District Public Schools, Reading is Fundamental and The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health.
