Connecticut Law Tribune Expands Digital Offering to Meet Readers’ Evolving Needs
Reinvention of ‘Connecticut Law Tribune’ is Next Step in ALM’s Transformation into Digital-First Platform
New York, NY—July 5, 2016—After 42 years of serving the Connecticut legal community with a weekly print newspaper, the Connecticut Law Tribune is responding to customers’ increasing digital consumption by reinventing itself with an expanded digital platform complemented by a weekly digital edition.
The first issue of the weekly digital edition of the Connecticut Law Tribune is available to subscribers today at http://www.ctlawtribune.com/digital-edition.
“This move is all about making Connecticut Law Tribune a more aggressive and timely news operation and giving its readers what they want, when they want it,” said Hank Grezlak, ALM Regional Editor-in-Chief. “We’re also planning to have more in-depth stories, more coverage of trials and hearings, and more interaction with the community.”
In addition to the editorial features that its readers rely on—including verdicts and settlements, case digests and editorial board contributions—ctlawtribune.com now offers:
- More breaking legal news and investigative reporting around the state
- Coverage of court hearings and trials
- Analysis and litigation trends
- Coverage of law firms
- Multi-media packages and charts
The Connecticut Law Tribune’s reinvention as a purely digital offering follows a similar initiative by another ALM publication, Texas Lawyer. These developments are part of ALM’s effort to embrace its new vision of how to provide customers with critical news, data, analysis, marketing solutions and events on the right platform, in the right format, and at the right time to successfully manage the business of business.
“With website traffic up 42% year over year, it is clear our customers are increasingly consuming content through digital and mobile platforms, and the transformation of Connecticut Law Tribune is the latest step in ALM’s overall strategy to meet these rapidly changing demands of our audience,” said Jeff Forte, ALM Regional Publisher for Connecticut and New Jersey. “The new Connecticut Law Tribune format makes it possible to leverage our editorial thought leadership and growing digital-first platform to provide the news and information experience that our audience needs, while creating more opportunities for meaningful sponsor-driven connections.”
