ALM’s 7th Annual Hedge Fund General Counsel Summit Comes to New York City, September 30-October 1, 2013
NEW YORK – September 12, 2013 – ALM’s Corporate Counsel will host the 7th Annual Hedge Fund General Counsel Summit, from September 30-October 1, at the University Club in New York City.
The event will tackle the most pressing legal and regulatory issues confronting the hedge fund industry, which is facing a new era of increased scrutiny from regulators and law enforcement. It will include interactive live sessions, unique access to industry thought leaders and the opportunity for meaningful networking with peers in the hedge fund business.
The keynote address, “Current and Future Priorities and Initiatives on the Federal Enforcement Agenda,” will be delivered by George Canellos, co-director of the division of enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The program will also feature a special session – “A Whole New World: SEC (Finally) Adopts Final Rules under the JOBS Act Removing Restrictions on General Solicitation and Advertising – But Wait….What Now?” The speakers for the session will be Asher Friend, partner at Jones Walker LLP, and Ted Jones, special counsel at Jones Walker LLP.
