ALM Promotes Jeff Litvack to Head Up New Legal Intelligence & Advisory Division

NEW YORK – September 18, 2014 – ALM, the leading provider of news and business information to the legal and real estate industries, today announced the appointment of Jeff Litvack to take on the leadership of a newly created business group that will support future growth in legal intelligence and advisory services.

Litvack, the company’s chief digital officer since 2012, has been named president of ALM’s Legal Intelligence & Advisory Division. This new group will include brands such as ALM Legal Intelligence, RivalEdge, and VerdictSearch, as well as the company’s various market research resources.

“Over the past couple years, we’ve been able to transform ALM into a true digital media company by making smart investments in our digital platform, building a new law firm enterprise subscription service, and optimizing our editorial processes for bringing news and insights to our customers,” said Bill Carter, president and chief executive officer at ALM. “The creation of this new Legal Intelligence & Advisory Division will provide us with the organizational alignment we need to build on our recent success and chart a new course for growth.”

Litvack joined ALM in 2012 after serving as the chief operating officer and general manager of iCircular, a next-generation mobile advertising platform for preprints at the Associated Press (AP). He was previously the AP’s general manager of global product development, general manager of mobile and emerging products, and global director of new media markets. Litvack’s previous positions included principal at SSI Advisors, a digital media consulting firm he founded, executive director of digital media at The Museum of Television & Radio, senior vice president of business development at Yack, Inc., and senior engagement manager in the media practice of Mitchell Madison Group.

“Jeff has been instrumental in our company’s transformation and I’m confident he will provide us with the senior leadership this new division needs in order to be successful,” said Carter.
