GlobeSt.com, Real Estate Forum Increase Editorial Firepower With Two Appointments Survey

NEW YORK (July 23, 2012) –ALM’s Real Estate Media Group has named Jacqueline Hlavenka as East Coast Editor of GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum and Geoffrey E. Davis as a regular columnist for GlobeSt.com.
Hlavenka, who previously served as Northeast Region Reporter at the two publications, now covers news and information pertaining to commercial real estate in New York City and oversees content for the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Prior to joining ALM, she served as a municipal beat reporter for Greater Media Newspapers in central New Jersey. Her work has also been published in The Asbury Park Press, The Village Voice, Interior Design Magazine and Condé Nast’s Cookie Magazine.
She also has a strong social media presence and, along with the editorial team, is an instrumental part of the company’s expansion into digital services and social media, including GlobeSt.com’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
“Jackie’s contributions have been phenomenal,” said Content Director John Salustri. “She is well-known and highly respected in real estate circles as a true professional.”
Davis’s new quarterly GlobeSt.com column, “Lodging Insights,” will cover the breadth and depth of hotel transactions and glean the trends he sees shaping those deals. As President & Senior Principal of HREC Investment Advisors, he is regarded as one of the top deal makers and hotel investment advisors in the hospitality industry. For over 24 years, Davis has provided hotel advisory and brokerage services, with extensive experience in capital markets and top-tier asset sales. Based in New York, he oversees the operation and management of the Investment Advisors offices across the country.
