NEW YORK (November 10, 2009) – ALM’s upcoming LegalTech New York 2010, the nation’s largest and most prestigious legal technology conference and trade show, will feature a full-day, comprehensive workshop on Electronically Stored Information (ESI) litigation technology by Kroll Ontrack, the industry’s largest provider of legal technologies solutions. The workshop, which will take place Tuesday, February 2, will cover litigation preparedness techniques; data management and early case assessment tools for litigators; and ethical challenges raised by the preservation, collection, and production of ESI. LegalTech New York will take place February 1-3 2010 at the Hilton Hotel in New York City. Complete conference information is available at www.legaltechshow.com.

The three-track program is targeted to the needs of attorneys, litigation support and IT professionals responsible for responding to requests for electronic data. The three sessions include:
• Session 1: An Ounce of ESI Prevention is Worth a Pound of ESI Cure
• Session 2: Ease Litigation Woes with Skilled Data Management: Early Case Assessment, Processing, Review and Production Practices
• Session 3: Ethical Challenges of Electronic Discovery

“Each session helps reinforce lessons learned and provides practical tips and techniques at each stage of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model,” said Gina Jytyla, managing staff attorney at Kroll Ontrack. “In addition, attendees will receive a comprehensive ESI resource guide that includes case summaries, a glossary of terms, relevant articles and template legal forms and checklists.”

Attendees at all three sessions will earn up to 4.5 CLE credits, including a 1.5 ethics credit, and a Kroll Ontrack ESI Technology Certificate. Attendees registering for a master pass to attend the Kroll Ontrack ESI Certification Workshop should use promotional code “KRL.”
