| RUSSELL STALTERS, IT HEAD AT BP AMERICA TO DELIVER LEGALTECH NEW YORK 2010 KEYNOTE |
NEW YORK (October 20, 2009) – ALM’s upcoming LegalTech New York 2010, the nation’s largest and most prestigious legal technology conference and trade show, will feature a day one keynote presentation by Russell Stalters, information technology and services (IT&S) head, information and record architecture, BPAmerica Inc. Stalters’ presentation will open the event, which will take place February 1-3 at the Hilton Hotel in New York City. Complete conference information is available at www.legaltechshow.com.
Stalters will present “Don’t Build Your E-Discovery Program on a Digital Landfill,” which will use the EDRM model to show the correlation between sound information management practices and successful e-discovery programs, and to provide specific action steps attendees can use to manage digital information overflow.
“LegalTech attendees don’t need me to frame the problem; they already know what it is,” Stalters said. “But they will come away from this session with actionable recommendations to help their organization get control of the mounds of information at their companies.”
A regular speaker, author and thought leader in the field of information and records management, Stalters has spent more than 15 years helping enterprises envision, design, and implement document, records, and business process management solutions. He has served as a CIO in the United States Navy, president of TrueArc Corporation, consultant to large enterprise organizations, and, for the past two years, as head of BP’s information and records architecture function.
LegalTech New York 2009 attracted nearly 13,000 attendees and featured almost 300 exhibiting companies. The 2010 conference will offer more than 60 educational sessions for attendees, on topics ranging from electronic discovery and knowledge management, to emerging technologies.
