| ALM PROMOTES FABIO BERTONI TO VICE PRESIDENT, DEPUTY GENERAL COUNSEL |
NEW YORK (October 12, 2009) – ALM, an integrated media company, today announced the promotion of Fabio Bertoni to the new position of vice president, deputy general counsel. Bertoni, who has served as counsel in the company’s legal department since 2006, will expand his role in overseeing legal activities related to corporate affairs, financing, litigation, editorial liaison and intellectual property matters. Bertoni will continue to be based in New York City and to report to senior vice president and chief legal officer Allison Hoffman.
Bertoni joined ALM from Hughes Hubbard & Reed, where he was an associate in the firm’s litigation department. Prior to that, he was an associate at Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld, LLP. His background also includes legal internships at the Directors Guild of America and publishing house Farrar, Straus & Giroux.
Bertoni attended Vassar College and received his undergraduate degree from Hunter College. He holds a masters degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar and an assistant adjunct professor of law at Fordham University School of Law.
