Chief Executive Officer
Bill took leadership of ALM in March 2012, and has since championed acquisition strategies advancing the growth and expansion of markets ALM serves. In 2013 and 2015, Bill was honored as a C-Level Visionary with a Folio: 100 Award.
He joined ALM from Thomson Reuters where he led the successful reorganization and growth of the Small Law Business Unit. An accomplished expert in the digital and legal services industry, Bill also drove significant value creation at LexisNexis, Epiq Systems, Gerson Lehrman Group and GES Exposition Services.
Vice President, Human Resources
Erin is responsible for all efforts to attract, retain and develop ALM employees. She manages employee-related programs and advises employees on career, performance and organizational planning.
Previously, she held a senior HR role at both ALM and Summit Professional Networks where she helped guide the company through the acquisition by ALM. Prior to Summit, Erin held roles of increasing responsibility at KnowledgePoint360 Group and Thomson Reuters (formerly Thomson Healthcare).
Chief Marketing Officer
Carol is responsible for leading the integrated marketing team in supporting ALM’s business growth and digital transformation goals.
Prior to ALM, Carol built the marketing foundation for publishing start-up qbeats inc. She was also Managing Director – Client Services at HNW Inc., VP, Marketing at LexisNexis, the head of US B2B marketing at MasterCard, and held numerous P&L, marketing and sales roles at AT&T. Carol specializes in transforming marketing organizations into highly effective, strategic, results-oriented teams.
Jay is responsible for developing and leading sales and marketing strategy for ALM’s advertising, content marketing and marketing services businesses.
Jay was previously a Managing Director with Empirical Media where he helped companies such as The Dallas Morning News, Philadelphia Media News and QVC as they transitioned their businesses to digital. From 2010 until 2014, Jay was part of the team to successfully bring AOL back to growth and profitability. As President of AOL’s Business, Automotive & Technology Group he managed go-to-market monetization strategy, product development, editorial and audience development for market leading brands including TechCrunch, Engadget, Autoblog and DailyFinance among others. In 2008 Jay became CEO of Imaginova, a venture-backed digital media and e-commerce company where he led the company to profitability. Prior to that he spent 9 years executing middle market M&A transactions for AdMediaPartners. Jay has a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from Fordham University and a MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He lives in Riverside, CT with his wife and two daughters.
Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer
Debra is responsible for the oversight of the financial strategy and forecasting, business analysis, accounting, treasury, M&A and tax functions, as well as operations responsibilities.
Prior to ALM, Debra held leadership roles in both private and public environments primarily in B2B marketing services industries,serving as an advisor to business leaders and driving efficiencies through process improvements and strategic cost reduction. Previously, Debra held various roles of increasing responsibilities at Ipsos, [X+1], Inc., IPG and Wolf Group.
Chief Content Officer
Molly is responsible for leading the integrated editorial organization to develop synergies between industries, identify new monetization opportunities and engage critical audiences.
Since joining ALM in 2012, Molly has held several leadership positions, including Publisher of The Recorder and Law.com, Chief Content & Product Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, she held marketing, editorial market planning and product champion roles at Lexis Nexis after practicing law in Cincinnati and reporting for the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Vice President, Legal Media Sales
Allan is responsible for the management and oversight of the legal media sales organization.
Prior to ALM, Allan held roles of increasing responsibility during his tenure at Thomson Reuters. Most recently as Director of Sales, he transformed sales teams and delivered strong revenue and renewal performance year after year.
President of ALM Intelligence
Andrew leads the ALM Intelligence and Advisory business providing market and competitive intelligence to business leaders allowing them to act with confidence to grow and run their businesses.
Prior to ALM, he held several senior executive roles at Thomson Reuters building its Risk business. Most recently, Andrew led the Enterprise Risk Management businesses delivering Governance Risk & Compliance intelligence, software, services and training. He joined Thomson Reuters when they acquired EDGARfilings, where he was co-found and CEO.
Senior Vice President & General Counsel
Dana joined ALM as SVP and general counsel in 2014 and oversees all legal matters in the company.
Previously, Dana was general counsel for Wenner Media where she was responsible for handling all corporate contracts for publications and business divisions as well as overseeing contracts and advising on legal issues on all digital initiatives. Prior to Wenner Media, Dana was associate general counsel with Penguin Group USA and associate for international law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, and Wharton & Garrison.
Senior Vice President of Global Events
John is responsible for leading the growth and development of all ALM’s global events across all sectors, and identifying new opportunities to connect our supplier and attendee audiences.
Prior to ALM, he spent 8 years at UBM managing a variety of global B2B events, as well as driving significant M&A activity. Previously, at Reed Exhibitions and Advanstar John expanded their trade shows and events businesses. Most recently, he was Operating Partner at Seven Points Equity Partners, identifying and progressing investments in the Trade Show & Live Events sector.
Chief Sales Officer, Marketing Solutions
Matt is responsible for leading media sales and revenue generation across all advertising, lead generation and marketing solutions, as well as ALM's sales enablement efforts.
Previously ALM’s Group President for Finance and Insurance Media, he held the same role at Summit Professional Networks before acquisition and several leadership roles at Penton Media, including Group Publisher for Real Estate and Finance. Matt also worked in consumer markets at Yahoo! Music/Launch, and at LAPTOP where he restructured sales and implemented a digital-first strategy.
Vice President Technology
As Vice President of Technology at ALM, Gene Bishop is responsible for all enterprise and production systems that support business function and customer products. The technology team also handles all projects, develop and support of hardware, software and networking that the company purchases, leases or builds and maintains three data centers and computer rooms in all regional locations.
Bishop joined ALM in September 2006 as the director of applications support and his role has grown to include web production, development and infrastructure management.
Prior to joining ALM, Bishop spent 20+ years at Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal in various roles including quality assurance, editorial, advertising and finance support. He was part of a specialized team that supported the print and web business to meet rolling global daily deadlines. They also built a system that, because of failover to existing back-up servers, enabled the outlet to publish their newspaper on time during the September 11, 2001 events, earning the news and IT teams a Pulitzer Prize.
Gene attended Middlesex County College.
